"Why We Cannot 'Win' the War in Iraq: A Psychological Perspective"
"The George Washington University and the Elliott School of
International Affairs cordially invite you to attend the first of this
years Political Psychology Seminar Series. The mission of the Seminar
Series concerns both the theory and practice of political psychology,
which in turn reflects the unique aspect of the GW Political
Psychology Program as the only applied political psychology program in
the nation. The event is hosted by Dr. Jerrold Post, Director of the
Political Psychology Program at the Elliott School of International
Affairs.
This months guest is Dr. George Everly. Dr. Everly is a faculty
member at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is a former Senior Research
Advisor to the Office of the Amir of Kuwait. He is also the author of
the books Psychological Counterterrorism and World War IV as well as
Mental Health Aspects of Disaster.
Dr. Everly will offer a presentation entitled "Why We Cannot 'Win' the
War in Iraq: A Psychological Perspective". This presentation will be
offered at the GWU Marvin Center, Room 402 at 1:00pm on Wednesday,
January 31st. Please RSVP to Todd D. Holmes, Seminar Coordinator, at
tholmes@gwu.edu by Wednesday, January 24th if you plan to attend this

I think that some of you will want to attend this lecture. Jerry Post
is one of our mentors. He is quite an interesting person. Stuart"
